About Our Course
Cheltenham Golf Club is proud to be part of the prestigious Sandbelt area, offering:
- Unique Topography: Our course features gently rolling terrain and natural sand-based soil, providing a firm and fast surface notorious of the Melbourne Sandbelt.
- A Course for Every Skill Level: Our short length holes mean our course is very welcoming for beginner golfers, whilst the tight, tree lined fairways and small greens provide a challenge for highly skilled golfers. You’ll find the course fitting for every golfer.
- Consistent Condition: Excellent drainage and high-quality playing conditions year-round, thanks to our sand-based soil and exceptional grounds team.
Facilities:
- Pro Shop: A variety of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories at competitive prices.
- Practice Nets: Three nets available to help you refine your skills before hitting the course.
- Putting Green: A 9-hole putting green next to the first tee to perfect your putting and get a feel for the greens.

Dress Code & Golf Etiquette
To maintain a pleasant atmosphere for all our guests, we request adherence to the following dress code:
- Men: Collared shirts and tailored shorts or trousers. Golf or appropriate athletic shoes required.
- Women: Golf dresses, skirts, or tailored shorts/trousers with a collared or golf shirt. Golf or appropriate athletic shoes required.
- Not Allowed: Denim, gym wear, and clothing with offensive slogans
For a smooth and enjoyable experience:
- Pace of Play: Aim to complete your round in approximately 2 hours.
- Course Maintenance: Please repair divots and ball marks on greens.
- Mobile Phones: Keep phones on silent mode and use them discreetly.
Clubhouse & Facilities
After an invigorating round of golf, players can unwind and socialize in our inviting clubhouse, where relaxation meets camaraderie. Our clubhouse offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere with comfortable seating, a well-stocked bar, and delicious Grab’n’Go food options.
Whether you’re looking to review your game with fellow golfers, celebrate a great round, or simply enjoy a post-game refreshment, our clubhouse is the perfect spot to relax and savour the moment. Come join us and extend your golf experience beyond the greens!
Clubhouse Hours:
- Sunday – Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Last call at 6:30 PM)
- Friday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Last call at 7:00 PM)
Directions & Parking
- Directions: Located just 30 minutes south of Melbourne’s central business district. Entry to the club is via Victor Avenue off Weatherall road between 9am – 5pm, and from the park road entrance outside of these hours
- Parking: Ample parking is available. Please use designated areas and follow signage.
